The Artful Yarn features yarns from US yarn companies that are owned by women and/or families. Where possible, the fiber in our yarns is sourced in the US as well. Where they are not, the yarns are hand-spun, hand-dyed or hand-painted in this country. Many of our yarns are unique to our shop. We feature local alpaca yarns and locally spun and/or hand-dyed and hand-painted yarns. Many of our yarns are minimally-processed or organic. All of them are beautiful and showcase the craft and color of great fiber artisans. We excel at assisting you find a project that will be fulfilling and fun!
We like to say that “every skein tells a story.” We talk personally to the farmers, ranchers, hand-dyers, spinners and others who directly craft the yarns we offer. When you visit us, we’ll share fun facts about any yarn that interests you!
The Artful Yarn is about building fiber fellowship. We welcome your questions and will help you free of charge any time. Our classes are designed to engage you in learning new things, adding polish to your skills, and gaining new fiber friends. Located upstairs at the Village Herb Shop and in the delightful Chagrin Falls area, you enjoy a unique and special experience in addition to your yarn shopping. We look forward to seeing you soon!
