2021 YARN CLUBS:
High Falls Series
NEW! January through June
The High Falls on the Chagrin River attracted the first setters to the area and gave the town its name. It continues to attract visitors and inspire artists by its natural beauty. The use of water power was familiar to the early residents who arrived from Massachusetts where mill towns grew up along its many rivers. The High Falls powered one of the first mills on the river. A 4 foot dam was built on top of the falls which provided power for a grist mill on the south side of the river, while a sluice provided the water to power industries on the north side of the river. In 2003 an Ohio Bicentennial Marker was placed at the top of the Stairway to the Falls to commemorate the importance of the High Falls to the history of the village.
This series features yarn from local Cleveland hand-dyer, Sarah Flinn, founder of Superfine Yarns. Sarah has located her dye studio in the Hildebrandt Building, a former meat packing factory turned creative hub for artists and makers, located in Cleveland’s Ohio City neighborhood. How cool is that!?
Sarah will be working with us to create beautiful colors just for the High Falls Series. One month you'll receive one of her awesome fingerings, another month one of her DKs and one month her chunky. A nice sampler of Superfine Yarns! Each package includes amazing yarn, a printed pattern, a special discount coupon towards in-shop or online purchases and a couple of little thank you gifts from us - presented in a 100% cotton, drawstring project tote!

North Main Series
NEW! July through December
During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the federal government created the Works Projects Administration (W.P.A.) to provide jobs for out-of-work Americans. The W.P.A. undertook many infrastructure projects, such as building roads, schools, dams, bridges, and hospitals, but it also funded many fine arts programs that employed writers, musicians, painters, sculptors, actors and a variety of other artists. The W.P.A. worked on several projects in Chagrin Falls including a handsome stone wall bordered North Main Street. And the W.P.A literally "paved the way" for the creation of a Chagrin Falls Halloween tradition, the Pumpkin Roll, when they built the retaining wall and paved Grove Hill in 1938.
This series features yarn from local hand-dyer, Michelle Reid, founder of Bewitched Pigments. Bewitched Pigments is a mother-daughter collaboration brought about from a deep love of color and fiber. They are well-known throughout the region for their crisp and breath-taking color work.
Bewitched Pigments will be working with us to select beautiful colors just for the North Main Series. One month you'll receive a bewitching fingering, another month a beguiling DK and one month an enchanting worsted. A nice sampler of Bewitched Pigments yarn! Each package includes amazing yarn, a printed pattern, a special discount coupon towards in-shop or online purchases and a couple of little thank you gifts from us - presented in a 100% cotton, drawstring project tote!
