Bifurca Vest June 7 & July 28
Two-session class
Sundays, June 7 & 28
1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Bifurca, designed by Teti Lusak, is a cropped vest with modular construction. The vest consists of a central panel (essentially a rectangle), worked in the round and featuring a botanical colorwork pattern. The sides are picked up and worked sideways from the central panel and joined at the underarms. The edges of the body and armholes are finished with half twisted ribbing worked in the round.
The 1st class will take a look at the central panel construction and the colorwork chart. The second class will work on and discuss the construction of the sides and completion of the garment. We are suggesting that students bring the required needles and some stash yarn in two colors to practice the start of this pattern. Day of discussion may affect the yarn choice.
Instructor: Christine Weiss
Up to 6 students
This garment is made using US Size 1.5 and 2.5 needles and sport or dk weight yarn. Christine's sample was made with Wonderland Yarns Mad Hatter.
