Why do we have to knit a swatch or a fabric sample before we begin a project?! After all, we just want to start! This session answers that age-old question and more. This is a great class for beginners and those more experienced!
How do we measure our gauge? In stockinette? In garter stitch? What if the pattern doesn't tell us how to knit our gauge swatch? What if we can't get the gauge called for in the pattern?
What if we want to knit our project in worsted weight, but the pattern calls for fingering? How do we adjust our pattern then?
