Gro Hat March 30 & April 6
Sundays, March 30 & April 6
11:30 PM - 1:00 PM
This class offering is full. Please call or email us and we'll be in touch with you about scheduling a one-on-one lesson at your convenience.
The Gro Hat, designed by Fiber Tales, is a cute hat to take you into Spring. Once you knit one, you will want to knit many. There are a few tricky parts to the pattern, but with a little guidance, even a newer knitter can tackle this rewarding project.
To join the class you must know how to knit and purl and be able to knit with even tension. You will come to class with the ribbed brim completed in the round. If you can do that, you can successfully complete the Gro Hat.
Techniques included in the class are: interpreting a pattern using comments from Ravelry and your noggin, understanding tension when using a cable needle, and some new ways to decrease and make stitches. As always, when knitting a new pattern, a lighter yarn is easier to work with and shows off your work best. Our instructor used all but a few yards of a 50-gram hank of yarn.
Instructor: Christine Weiss

Suggested Yarn: Any DK yarn is appropriate, solids will work best. Our instructor suggests 1 skein of Andorra Yarn by Kelbourne Woolens or 2 skeins of Mayu Alpaca yarn from Amanu.
