Fix It! April 12
Saturday, April 12
10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
While we knit a small fabric sample, learn how some mistakes happen and what we can do to minimize mistakes before we start a project. Then we’ll practice how to read our knitting, pick up a dropped stitch, and how to fix knit and purl stitches. We’ll also tink, frog and put in a lifeline. Great for beginners!
Before Class:
Using a smooth, light-colored worsted weight (#4) yarn, cast-on 24 stitches. Set-Up row: Knit in garter stitch (knit every stitch of every row) for 6 rows. On the next row (Row 1), knit 4 stitches, place marker and knit to the last 4 stitches. Place a marker and knit 4 stitches. Next row (Row 2): Knit four stitches to the marker, slip marker, purl to the next marker, slip marker, knit the four stitches after the marker. Repeat Rows 1 & 2 three more times. Leave your work on the needles and bring to class.
