Buggiflooer Fair Isle Beanie June 5 & 12
Thursday evenings, June 5 & 12
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Buggiflooer (pronounced boo-gee-flew-er) is the Shetland word for sea campion which, growing in abundance around the Shetland coast, is the inspiration behind this enchanting Fair Isle design.
Designer Alison Rendall, originally created the Buggiflooer Beanie pattern as the Shetland Wool Week hat for 2023. We LOVE this pattern for its true-to-Fair-Isle colorwork and as the perfect vibe for The Darling Yarn Company's beautifully plant-dyed, 100% organic merino wool.
Class #1: Reviewing the pattern, establishing the 2-color rib edge and learning tips for managing multiple strands of yarn
Class #2: Reading colorwork chart, establishing the flower design and color choices, among other tips and suggestions from our instructor
Class # 3: A third class for working through crown decreases will be discussed with class participants and scheduled on a mutually-convenient day & time for all.
Prerequisites: Must be comfortable knitting in the round, knitting basics, etc.
Class Level: Intermediate/Advanced
