Join our own staff Sock Maven, Randi Russell, as she leads you through the newly-created Sock Adventures Series. It's based on The Sock Project, by popular knitting creator, Summer Lee.
Build your skills across 12 different levels of sock knitting. First, start with the humble-but-mighty Basic Sock, then try more complicated patterns for lace socks, cabled socks, socks with Estonian Inlay, and socks done in stranded knitting. You’ll be able to sample 18 fresh and zippy patterns, plus new variations on favorite designs and many different heels so you confidently knit any pattern!
What To Expect Each Get-Together
Our Sock Adventure is one sock pattern over two months: an actual sock class with Randi and the second month is a seat at our wildly popular Sock Social & Catch-Up. These 2-month experiences will repeat throughout the year with new sock patterns as we work our way through the book. And if you knit the book with Randi, there will be surprises each quarter and the glory of completion! And many new socks!
What To Expect in February/March
>Feb. 21 Class: Working on the 5th Sock Learning Toe-Up Sock Knitting & a Fleegle Heel A Fleegle Heel is a popular, easy-to-knit short-row heel for socks, often used in toe-up construction, known for its gradual shape, lack of holes (no picked-up stitches), and extra space in the heel's apex for a better fit, created by increasing stitches for a gusset and then decreasing them in short rows to turn the heel.
>March 21 Sock Social: You can work on any sock you choose or join us in working on The Shorty Sock (pattern also in the book/located in the 25 Sock Patterns section)

About the Designer/Author
Summer Lee lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her husband Dave. She has been knitting for almost 20 years, and designing sock knitting patterns since 2020. She LOVES color ~ finding surprising and delightful color stories is her favorite part of the design process!
