FLOCK OF SHEEP CUSHION
Learn Intarsia Color Knitting
Designed by Denny Gould

This class is an introduction to intarsia knitting. The cushion is knitted in one piece and the back has a 4-button opening and is knitted in stripes of 5 rows per color. There is a very big, easy-to-read intarsia chart to follow for the front of the cushion.

FAKE-OUT THRUMMED MITTENS
Learn to Fake Thrum
Designed by Cynthia Spencer

Thrummed Mittens originate from Newfoundland and Labrador. They are special mittens where little wisps of unspun wool roving, called “thrums”, are knit into the mitten. These thrums felt over time with repeated wear to form a fleece lining that keeps your hands very warm.

Class Level: Intermediate/Advanced
Must know basic knitting skills
Must have some experience
knitting in the round

stranded knitting
Participants are welcome to use
the chart, but chart reading will not be a focus of this class.

Instructor will talk about changing how the thumb is completed to make the mitten more comfortable, easier to put on and easier to complete as well as demonstrate

Please purchase your yarn
for OTN Rally Day as early as possible
so that we can wind yarn for you
prior to our event

We will wind your yarn and bring it to OTN Rally Day for you to pick up at registration

​OTN Rally Day participants will enjoy
​the many restaurants in Chagrin Falls including time-honored favorites!  You can also bring your own lunch and enjoy yourself by the River Walk.

​Don’t forget to shop at The Artful Yarn where a few of our new ​Fall yarn selections will have arrived as well as the many other, great small retailers throughout the village.

About Patterns

The Artful Yarn is providing free patterns for all classes offered during
OTN Rally Day 2024

Patterns are purchased in your name through Ravelry and emailed to you.

You will need to print your own pattern copies when you receive them.

We will not be able to resend patterns
a second time. If you lose your pattern email, you will need to purchase that pattern from Ravelry yourself.

Due to the sheer volume of pattern pages, we are unable to accommodate the vast amount of printing required to supply everyone printed copies.

Bridge Construction
Just a quick reminder that construction is underway on the Main Street Bridge. We recommend using the free parking garage behind our building. There is also free parking across from the Chagrin Falls Police Department on West Washington Street as well as free, but timed parking in front of Heinen's.
